553 meters. 102 cycles up and down my stairs. About 52 minutes.
The hardest part was between the Eiffel level and the Willis (Sears) Tower level, after that a kind of second wind seemed to kick in and it didn't seem so bad anymore. I've told about a dozen people about this project and curiously nobody has said, "Hey, what a fantastic idea!", or "Right on, I should try that!" Instead a lot of comments have focused around the perception that this kind of repetitive stair climbing would be... boring. I can see that. In fact, I had originally planned to listen to podcasts, but I have (so far) found it to be anything but boring. My mind seems to get into a problem solving mode and various issues that currently bedevil me end up being sorted out. And of course there's the counting. How could that be boring? ;-)
